When oral, transdermal, or other pain treatment options have been exhausted for a patient in need, Intramed Plus can provide a responsive pain management therapy. We work closely with the physician to determine the patient's proper narcotic orders and ongoing dose titration needs.
For adequate pain management, the patient or caregiver is trained by an Intramed Plus Nurse to use a small infusion pump that is patient-controlled, the CADD Legacy® PCA.
When applicable, we work closely with Hospice nurses to properly assess and control the level of pain and monitor the patient's responses.
Our clinical Pharmacists also assist with recommendations for adjuvant therapies to enhance the patient's pain management therapy.
